The retrofitting of the upstream sheet pile wall was imperative due to severe corrosion damage.
Our Solution
The sheet pile wall was reinforced by mounting steel beams in both vertical and horizontal directions. In addition, the area behind the sheet pile wall was laid dry by the application of sealing plates.
Subsequently, by installing a shuttering, the air-side area of the sheet pile wall was concreted, that is, a new concrete wall was subsequently erected.
